ESL Resources 練習資料

There are plenty of IELTS and ESL learning resources online. Let me just highlight a few here:

To start with, we all look for Cambridge IELTS exam practices as basic training when it comes to IELTS preparation. In case you haven't noticed, Cambridge IELTS Book 1 to 9 including mp3 files for listening can all be downloaded online for free. You may not need to get your own printed copy of the books - save the money for coffee instead. Click on the image below - it'll take you to a blog site with the whole set of Cambridge IELTS books for download. Please don't raise the copyright question here.

The Essential

Guess what? The British Council actually has designed quite a comprehensive set of IELTS preparation guideline - they are not that heartless in running their exam business: British Council IELTS Preparation
You can even download their IELTS Word Power App so you can revise anytime anywhere.

Listening

Listening skill can be tricky to improve. It helps to watch English language programs with English subtitles on.
I believe in listening to topics that interest you would enhance learning efficiency.
If you feel like something vocational, visit Oxford English for Career. They have recordings and exercises categorised according to vocational needs. Pretty impressive.
If you feel like something newsy and practical, try 6-minute English, an online English learning site produced by BBC. They have quite funny animation videos called The Flatmates. Worth clicking.
If you feel like something glamorous, inspiring and cute, you must watch Ted conference videos. There are thousands of speeches on millions of topics delivered by great public speakers. You can even turn on the English subtitle - how cool is that?

I'll keep updating this page regularly to supply us with more English learning materials. Come back for more!
